After your winter or summer tires, your bike is probably the single most volume-heavy item you ever have to store in your residential garage. Imagine having to hang a box off a wall… a box that measures at least 72” long by 44” high by 24” deep. And when you think about it, there aren’t that many ways to hang a bike. Either you hang it by its frame, which is the method that requires the least amount of depth space, or you hang it by its front or back wheel.
In summer, it’s less of a problem. You probably just park it somewhere in the garage using its kick-stand… unless of course you have one of today’s more specialized bikes made of carbon or some other super lightweight material, in which case the bike probably doesn’t even have a kick-stand. The problem becomes apparent in fall, when winter starts to bear down on us. What do you do with the family’s bikes then? Chances are the shed out back isn’t big enough. You need a four-season solution to store your bikes easily and practically.
We offer two wall storage systems to hang your bikes solidly, in total safety—whether they’re normal bikes or high performance racing bikes—be it by the front wheel or the back, using a unique series of specialized hooks. Or, if you prefer, you can hang your bike from the front or rear wheel using a special ceiling-mounted hanging system. You can even hang them from the ceiling using a pulley system, be it manual or electric. However, this last option requires a fairly high ceiling, which isn’t the case in most garages.
No matter which system seems best to you, feel free to contact us to find the option that works best. We’ll be happy to come by, measure your garage, and the available space, and find a solution that fits your needs and the configuration of your particular garage. In the meantime, why not visit the Wall Organizers section of our website to get a better idea of the many wall hanging and storage systems available.
Happy Garaging!
