A garage can be renovated and organized at any time of the year. No single season is better suited to the job than another. However, in our experience things get a lot busier in spring and especially in the fall.

Spring is typically when we start thinking about summer. We begin taking items out of the garage: tables, chairs, parasols, hoses, the BBQ, etc. It’s also the time of year when we begin cleaning up after winter, getting the garden ready for summer and preparing the pool for opening day. Anyone with an organized garage appreciates having easy access to all the tools and toys they’ll be needing for spring and summer. When summer does come around, we often find ourselves buying new items for use around the home and garden. Usually, these items go straight from the car to the back yard and we don’t really give too much thought to where we’re going to store them later on. When the leaves begin to fall, and the temperature drops, we realize that we have way more stuff than we thought. We’re forced to find additional storage space. Winter’s coming and we have to get everything put away. That’s probably the single greatest reason that fall is our busiest time of the year.
